Reviews
Good country food with nice portions and not too expensive. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Catfish was great and its portion was large. The steak and shrimp special was a large portion. Both dinners came with 2 sides (we got apples, coleslaw and corn) along with soup and salad. We had the clam chowder which tasted buttery. The restaurant was not too busy, but seemed to have a lot of locals visiting. Will return and try the large dessert menu.
Out west on SR 40 is this cute country restaurant attached to a gas station. They have the right location with horse country all around. Down home country food is what they serve and it's pretty good. Nothing fancy, a lot of it frozen and reheated but most restaurants serving at these prices serve the same thing. Their menu is long and their list of "sides" even longer. Aside from their regular menu they offer several daily specials. I had the cheese grits, fried okra and tomato salad. Just what I needed on a day that I needed to eat light and quick. Current Health Inspection: 1-high priority, 1-intermediate & 2-basic violations.
What an amazing find, the people were wonderful as well as the food, I would definitely recommend breakfast here!!!
